What is YUVA and what can I do with YUVA?

YUVA is YUVA Studio’s premier offering. It is an online environment, a creative playground that fosters play, stimulates creativity and encourages sharing. It is where your child explores shapes: drags, expands, flips, colors, rotates and doodles around shapes to make various drawings while discovering their many characteristics and possibilities.

YUVA consists of five activities: STAMP, PUNCH, PATCH, DOODLE and DRAW. The activities start out simple: choose a shape and stamp it on the canvas, punch it out of the canvas, or use a single shape to make mosaics. Then advance to doodling to add detail to the drawing.  Some allow single-color drawings, others multiple.  Some use single shapes, others use many.  Each activity has been designed to develop different skills of composition and inventiveness. 

YUVA offers diverse swatches of shapes as the elements for play — the building blocks for their designs. Five swatches and a Graffiti Swatch form the standard choices that are always available for play, and a new Mystery Swatch is also offered each month to further tickle the imagination!

YUVA is intuitive yet challenging. You may wish to explore without direction to investigate the many tools, make drawings and learn of its possibilities through experimentation. Alternatively, flip through Ideabooks — a growing archive of drawings by YUVA Artists.

This online environment will be refreshed regularly — with the introduction of new activities, seasonal “mystery shapes”, invitations for gallery submissions and other interactive elements.

We value online safety and security and take special measures to make YUVA a kids-friendly environment. We encourage parents to set up a network of friends and family with whom their child can share his or her work.
